Restaurants, hotels and any other food establishments, as well as in any gathering and catering services are each incorporating their own version of fruit desserts. Indeed, there are lots of fruit desserts creations anyone can even try at home.
Making desserts is just like an art class, or something to do with art since it requires you to be creative and really imaginative. One essential factor of fruit desserts is its presentation, but this does not outweigh the overall taste and benefits of fruits as part of one’s meal. Two of the important fruits that people must take are bananas and apples. Each of these has its own significant contributions to health. And a popular way to prepare them for desserts is by the use of a foil. This is not bewildering, is it? Foil, after all, has been so much associated to foods anyway. As you know, foil is not just used to cover leftovers. It too, can be taken advantage in making fruit desserts and is highly favorable for easy cleanup.
Are apples your favorite? Well, the next time you plan your camping
trip, you may as well include baking apples for it. Baked apples are one of camp favorites. To make such delicious fruit dessert, start with a large
apple. Do not peel it off. Instead, carve a hollow in the middle, leaving
the bottom part intact.
On the other hand, there is another method to do baked apples. You can just simply cut it into various slices, and put on the apple slices in the middle of a foil, in which toppings must be added. When you have added everything you want on it, close the tin foil, and in the same manner as the previous one, cook it above coals. You may very well substitute the apples with peaches if you wish to.
Besides apples, you can also do banana boats. To make one, cut the entire length of a banana into a V-shaped wedge, while you leave the peel still attached on one end. You can initially eat on the wedge leaving a cavity for your filling. Again, pour in some filling of your choice. Whatever you want to go with your banana, like peanut butter, Reese pieces, chocolate chips or butterscotch chips. After putting in the filling, wrap the banana with aluminum foil and place your fruit package on top of the coals by its side. Let it cook for two to three minutes on both sides. Your goal is to melt whatever fillings you put in it without completely cooking the banana fruit, but just enough to make it appear mushy. And when it is all done, voila, you have your campfire version of the banana split, just without the ice cream.
Fruit desserts are absolutely
easy to prepare. Preparing one is just
as easy as counting 1-2-3. Apart from
being naturally healthy, fruits make a good presentation, creating a totally
palatable course. Verily, fruit
desserts are the healthiest way to end a truly savory meal.
