Great Recipes For Kiddie Parties

Kiddie parties are always jovial affairs. And it never comes without ample fun, games, entertainment, and of course, food! Kiddie party foods do not have to take forever to prepare, neither should it blow you off your budget. Parents, when kid party is the issue, presentation and variety are the best solutions.

Instead of whipping up few of your specialty dishes, why don't you consider serving many small dishes of kid-friendly and fun finger foods. As much as you can, serve savory foods with only less sweet treats. Doing so entitles you and your little guests be freed from the unnecessary doses of dreaded sugar. In turn, you are doing everyone a favor, not just by the conviviality of the party but of the health benefits your prepared foods offer.

Truth to be told, in kiddie parties, it does not really matter what you have in the table, just as long as it is presented in a way that is amusing and delightful for the pretty eyes of the kids. However, consider it an honor though, to prepare some things worthy not of the eyes but of the general health of every one, including your very own kids. Anyways, how are you going to present your food table? Here's how.

First of which are the colors. Have lots and lots of them. Come up with a really colorful presentation. Make use of colored balloons, colorful serving bowls and kid tableware. Or if you are having a theme party, associate the colors to whatever your theme is. Take for example, you are hosting a Barney themed kiddie party. Then have loads of purple, yellow, and green stuffs. You may as well add in other colors such as red, and blue. Any combination of colors is festive enough for the kids. And they will sure be in awe with what they will see.

In addition to your multi-colored party, serve small assorted plates and bowls of finger food selections such as bread sticks, cut fruit, cheese, crackers, mini wraps, mini muffins and a whole lot more. Besides these delightful treats, you can turn the normal-looking food into some utterly fun kiddie foods. Like for instance, you cut sandwiches with a funny cookie cutter to come up with amusing shapes and sizes. Or you may cup up fruits and vegetable collections and top it with a splashy dip. Do not forget to make the foods in kid sizes. Cut pizzas and hotdogs in bite size pieces, as well as your other menu. This makes everything easier and more fun.

Other worth trying great recipes for kiddie parties include baked potatoes or potato wedges, dried fruit, chocolate chips, mini muffins, small meatballs made of beef, pork or chicken, pizza fingers, fish fingers or chicken fingers, classic crackers and cheese with petite tomato in the middle of the plate, hotdog on stick topped with marshmallows or pineapple, cabbage rolls, bread and dip, liver spread spaghetti and many more.

Most of the mentioned menu can be prepared so fast and easily. While others may not be that familiar and need a bit of coaching such as the cabbage rolls, liver spread spaghetti and bread and dip. Cabbage rolls may be likened to a stuffed green bell pepper with ground beef and rice. For this, you will need a cabbage head, one pound ground beef, bread crumbs, Italian dressing, and meatloaf seasoning. To start with, combine together the ground beef, meatloaf seasoning and the bread crumbs. If the seasoning instructs to add an egg, then do so. You may as well whip up some of the Italian dressing. After which, carefully wash the cabbage, removing several of its inner leaves to be used as wrappers. With each cabbage leaf, put in two or more spoonfuls of your meat mix, roll and then secure both ends. As soon as you finish wrapping all the meat mix, place your cabbage rolls on top of chopped cabbages with poured Italian dressing. Then, put it inside the oven with 350 degrees temperature to cook for one hour. Continue to check in your cabbage rolls once in a while. You will know when it is ready by the time the cabbages are tender and inside it, the meat is well-cooked.

The bead and dip recipe is overly easy to follow. For this rich in vitamin finger food, prepare one can of spaghetti meat sauce, one-half cup grated cheese, and sliced bread that is cut into triangles. For the coating, ready yourself with one piece beaten egg, one-third cup flour, one tablespoon snipped parsley, and two tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated. Prepare the coating by dissolving the all-purpose flour into one-fourth cup of water. After which, add in a quarter cup of the spaghetti sauce, and the rest of the ingredients. Thoroughly blend the mixture and set aside. Dip each slice of bread into the coating mixture. Again, dip only, not soak. Dip the bread pieces enough to moisten the sides of the bread. And then, fry the bread until it is browned. Then, dry off the oils using paper towels. Make the dip by combining in all remaining ingredients and simmer it until all the cheese have melted. Your bread and its dip are now both ready for serving.

Finally, for the liver spread spaghetti, prepare 17 grams of cooked spaghetti pasta, one piece minced small onion, five pieces sliced hotdog, one tablespoon margarine, one pouch Italian spaghetti sauce , three tablespoon liver spread, and two-third cup of grated cheese. To prepare the sauce, saute hotdog and onion in margarine, adding in the spaghetti sauce. Let it simmer for about five minutes before adding in the liver spread, pepper, salt, and half of the cheese. Again, simmer it for another three minutes, constantly stirring it. Once ready, pour int the sauce to the cooked pasta and top with the remaining cheese.

There are more great recipes for kiddie parties you can acquire online or in recipe books. Whatever menu you choose to prepare for your kid's party, again do not forgot that it does not have to be so grand and expensive, for little kids can appreciate anything colorful, perky, and charming.

If we spend too much time preparing food, we tend to be too tired to attend to the guess.

very true laili11! that's the main reason, why we need to plan ahead of time in hosting parties. organizing and planning everything including the people that could help you in the preparation and all... to avoid getting stressed and tired.

There are restaurants and maybe like Mcdonalds that offer a good birth party for kids if you don't wnat to get tired preparing food for the guests.

I agree with you that you can save as well as control the healty food you want to offer to the kids and you can save money better and everyone knows that it is tiring to do that ...

For me, aside from the entertainment, preparing foods for kiddie parties is quite an experience. And as what agacarl have commented, there are lots of fastfood chains that offer kiddie parties if you don't any hassles in food preparation. But if you want a more personal approach, I recommend foods that are easy to prepare. And as what marigold have mentioned in her article, "fingerfoods" are quite a "hit" on kids. Pasta is also great for kiddie parties. In my own opinion, the messier they can go with the food, the more memorable their faces would be.

Oh you didn't mention ice creams. Children would love having that also.

Planning a kiddie party takes a great effort in order to have it smoothly prepared. So for me I would recommend to get a specific party that offers kiddie parties. Because these people are experts and know everything to make the party worthwhile for the kids.

Children's party = ice cream. They are the most favorite children party food. I agree with stephenams, children do love to eat foods that are messy.

I love the idea of considering the kids health when planning the menu! People often have this tendency of thinking kids are only after chocolates and this kind of stuff but that's not true. In fact, you can make so healthy things for them that they will be mad about. Someone mentioned icecream. If you combine that with a homemade fruit sauce (which is very quick and easy to make) you got a lovely healthy food packed with vitamins and calcium.
